Brisbane experiences

Located bayside of Brisbane and approx 16km from the CBD, Wynnum is on the shores of Moreton Bay. Although a seaside suburb the bay here is not really suitable for swimming in due to its mangroves and mudflats. However there is a small man made beach here called Pandanus Beach and an outdoor saltwater pool along side the foreshore that is a very popular place to swim.

Wynnum is a very family friendly suburb with lots of big colourful playgrounds, parks and picnic areas. Wynnum is set on the Cleveland rail Line, so access to the city from the Wynnum Train Station is very convenient.

The water is often calm and popular for kayaks and fishing as enjoyed on this perfect day in April.

Wynnum Cycle Path
This path starts at the Elanora Park and heading south through the mangrove boardwalk and forests, along through Manly and ending at the playground in Lota, however, the path is being extended all the time. The path is all coastal and there are plenty of ice-cream and coffee shops along the way.

Wynnum Golf Club
This popular bay side golf course is set over 31 acres and is very picturesque.
There is a restaurant and bar here as well as a pro shop. Located on Stradbroke Avenue.

Waterloo Bay Hotel
Wynnum’s favourite watering hole is this historic pub which opened to the public in the late 1900s. There are bars and a restaurant here as well as accommodation. Located in Berrima Street.

Wynnum Wading Pool
The Wynnum Wading Pool is filled with water from Moreton Bay, not deep but good for adult exercise and kids can slide into it. On the Esplanade, at the end of Edith Street, Wynnum.
