Brookwater Golf Course, Brisbane
Brookwater Golf and Country Club has been voted one of Queensland’s best golf courses and was designed by Greg Norman – it comprises 6.505 metres of rolling landscaped grounds with two nine hole loops, with bunkering, elevated trees and natural flowing water. The 72 par course is of tournament standard and offers a challenge to the most experienced of golfers. A new public driving range, featuring 40 metre synthetic driving grass tee areas and under cover shade offers the option of fine-tuning your game. Golf tuition and a Pro Shop are all on offer, as well as a restaurant and bar. The dress code prohibits denim and tracksuits as well as metal spikes. (07 3814 5500)

Indooroopilly Golf Course, Brisbane
The Indooroopilly Golf Course is located on a bend of the Brisbane River, just ten minutes from the centre of Brisbane. There are 36 holes on this championship course, 18 of which are open to visitors as well as members Sunday to Friday. The golf course features a series of lakes and is designed to be ‘drought proof’ with stored water being pumped around the course. There is a driving range and three putting greens and practice holes which are found next to the Clubhouse. Motorised carts are available, and PGA golf tuition can be arranged, as well as equipment hire at the Pro Shop. There is a strict dress code at the course. (07 3721 2122)

North Lakes Resort Golf Club, Brisbane
The North Lakes Golf Club is located just 35 minutes from Brisbane’s CPD, and 15 minutes from Brisbane Airport. The golf course is open to visitors seven days a week. The recently built course is the first to have TifEagle greens providing a consistent putting surface to golfers. There is a Pro Shop on site as well as a driving range. The course is 6455 metres long and is an 18 hole, par 72 and features multiple tees which allows golfers of all standards to enjoy a challenging game. The fairways are shaped to allow golfers free play, and the trees, bunkers and water hazards are strategically placed guarding the greens. (07 3480 9299)
