Brisbane Camping


Brisbane offers campers a great range of options including city based sites and those in close proximity to the capital. Take your tent, motor-home, caravan, RV or stay in a wide selection of on-site cabins.

Newmarket Gardens Caravan Park, Newmarket
This is the closest site to Brisbane just 4 km north of the city, near all the attractions that Brisbane has to offer. The large park offers the whole spectrum of accommodation including plenty of caravan and tent sites, onsite vans, en-suit cabins and lodges.
The powered and un-powered sites have concrete slabs for caravans and a convenient tiled surface beside for an annex and tables and chairs. Dump point connections are provided. This is a quiet and open park with room enough for the largest motor-homes and caravans. A clean, well-maintained park with free undercover barbecue, camp kitchen and gas bottle re-fills available. Other features include disabled bathroom, 24 hour internet kiosk, a book exchange and games library, dry cleaning service and safe deposit facilities. Note: there is no swimming pool.

BIG4 Brisbane Northside Caravan Village, Aspley
Well located 12 km north of Brisbane if heading to the Sunshine coast just an hour away. It is also close to the very large Chermside shopping centre and handy to the train station to travel to the city. The accommodation range will suit every need and budget. Cabins range from luxury to basic and there are camping and caravanning sites with or without power. Other facilities include a friendly community barbecue area and shaded pool. All amenities are in great condition. A large, roomy, clean and tidy park with all the customary services of Big 4 parks. Noise levels may be an issue at times, coming from outside the park. 763 Zillmere Road, cnr Dorville Road.

Brisbane Holiday Village
A very well located park only a 12 minute drive south of Brisbane CBD, providing easy access to both the Gateway Motorway and Pacific Highway. Public transport at the entrance and major shopping centre close by. A large selection of self-contained holiday cabins is provided. Choose from the ultra stylish villas through to the budget variety or camping and caravan sites with room to park large vans with ease. Most sites are level with concrete slabs and sullage nearby. This is a popular park with over 30 acres of landscaped gardens. It offers themed swimming lagoons, mini golf, tennis court, sports field, toddlers’ playground, licensed café, and convenience store. There are plenty of amenity blocks and guest laundries as well as a coin operated internet kiosk.

Samford Showgrounds Caravan & Camping
This offers something a little different for campers and caravan owners. Located about 23 km from Brisbane city and 7 km from Samford Village. The site provides an ideal spot for nature lovers in a spacious rural setting surrounded by mountains. There are powered sites, water supply, showers and toilets. Plenty of space is allowed for all size camping vehicles from the biggest rigs through to smaller campers and tents. Pets are allowed, when other events aren't using the grounds. Bookings are made directly through the live-in caretaker who maintains the grounds. Samford Showgrounds, Showgrounds Drive, Highvale, Queensland
