Byblos Bar and Restaurant combines imaginative Lebanese and Mediterranean cuisine with lavish hospitality in luxurious surroundings.

Caravanserai
Situated high up on a ridge above Brisbane is a place that you can slip into Turkey and enjoy the spiced grilled meats, breads, eggplant sebze and red lentil soup for the vegetarians. This is a BYO restaurant. 1 Dornoch Terrace, West End (07 3217 2617)

Mecca Bah
A good place to share food and you can sit on cushions outside. 1000 Ann Street,  Fortitude Valley (07 3252 5299).

Zafron on Brunswick
Mainly Persian but influenced by Lebanese cuisine and other Mediterranean countries. Entrees include sage and blue cheese fries, garlic haloumi, spinach and feta triangles and all can be shared and served as a meze. Main dishes include meat skewers and the signature dish of Caspian Chicken where pomegranate marinated chicken is served with pinenuts and and wine and saffron sauce. There are dishes for vegetarians.
