Brisbane experiences

Theme Parks

There are no theme parks in Brisbane, but go one hour south to the Gold Coast the theme park capital of Australia. Each park is jam-packed full of rides, attractions and entertainment, and yet each has its own unique style and flavour.

Theme Parks

Dreamworld is Australia's largest theme park, with a huge range of rides including four rollercoasters. The park is divided into eight different “lands”, each with its own theme.

MovieWorld is a Hollywood-inspired theme park with movie-themed rides, live film studios and Warner Bros characters patrolling the grounds for photo ops.

Sea World is one part theme park, one part oceanarium, and contains a mixture of rides and live animal exhibitions.

On a sweltering Queensland summer's day, there's no better place to be than in the water. If the weather calls for it, Wet'N'Wild is a giant waterpark with enough slides, pools and jumping boards to keep the kids amused for hours.

All of the Gold Coast's major theme parks are located within an hour's drive from Brisbane. Package ticket options allow you to visit all the parks and save money on the individual entry prices. Give yourself a few days to discover everything that's on offer. The kids will love it, and if you're a big kid at heart then so will you.
