Brisbane experiences

Riverside Markets

Riverside Markets began over 20 years ago when there wasn’t any Sunday shopping in Brisbane. With stunning views from their outdoor location on the north banks of the Brisbane River, they overlook the Story Bridge and Kangaroo Point on the opposite bank of the river.

Traditionally these markets began as a showcase for Brisbane artists’ and designers’ beautiful work and it gained a reputation for quality goods at reasonable prices and they have been used on many an occasion as the beginnings of fledgling design careers with those designers continuing on to have successful and award winning careers.

There is a huge variety of produce and products to buy, flowers, pot plants, garden knick knacks, wood work, iron work, fresh produce, handmade skin care, home made cakes, biscuits, chocolate, sauces, jam and preserves and much more.

If you have weary bones, there are a number of different types of massage available and many natural remedy products available to soothe the aches and pains, as well as to take home or provide as gifts for relatives and friends back home after your travels.
Surrounded by alfresco cafes, bars and restaurants, there are many places to sit down, relax and watch the world go by while sipping on a coffee or a refreshing beer.
