Brisbane Convention Centre

Significantly awarded and recognized as one of the top convention centres in the world, the Brisbane Convention Centre is a prime location for conferences and exhibitions in the heart of Queensland. The Centre opened in 1995 and is built on the former World Expo Park site. The Centre is owned and operated by the South Bank Corporation and is the home to numerous conferences, meetings and shows throughout the year.

The Centre provided a home to the National Basketball League of Australia team the Brisbane Bullets for ten years until the club withdrew from the league in 2008. Due to financial problems the NBL team no longer plays and the Convention Centre is home to the Queensland Firebirds netball team.

Home and trade shows are often found taking place in the Centre as well as annual conferences and special interest group meetings. Large corporations and businesses may rent the facility when available to host their annual meetings or conventions.

World class catering facilities are found at the Convention Centre are available for serving large banquets and events. Special dining menus are also available and the catering service provides assistance with private parties such as weddings and holiday events. Breakfast, breaks, lunch, cocktails, dinner and beverage menus are all available.
